I've invited a colleague and her husband over for dinner on Friday. She's about the pickiest eater I've ever met, so dinner will be very casual--an assortment of meats and cheeses grilled in the panini press. I figure that she can assemble a sandwich of whatever she wants. She does, however, eat ice cream. And she loves it. Her favorite is cookie dough ice cream, so I'd like to make some homemade stuff. Does anyone have a recipe that they've used and liked? I prefer the cooked custard variety of ice cream as opposed to the Philadelphia style.
BTW, I was well aware of my colleague's eating proclivities, so it isn't as though I invited her and she gave me a laundry list of what she won't eat. Her company is delightful and that's what is most important to me. Plus, I've got a bit of a reputation in my department as being an Ice Cream Queen!
