Someone recently asked me how to make the perfect fresh corn, and I told him to use the method I picked up on Chowhound:
Fill a pot with water (at least 4 inches... you want the corn to float freely) and bring to a rolling boil. Drop the corn in and bring back to a rolling boil. Once you're at a boil, put a cover on and turn the stove off. Let it sit for 10 minutes and then enjoy the fresh corny goodness.
He gave it a try and said he thought it was undercooked. I think he's a heathen, because every time I've done it the corn was PERFECT.
However, for my friend who evidently likes his corn overcooked, does anyone have any other suggestions for good corn cooking methods? (apartment friendly, please) He's got a lot of it to cook.
