Need help converting baking time from a tube pan to a rectangular pan

KingsKetz | Oct 3, 200612:21 AM

Every year for the holidays I make Joan Nathan's Jewish Apple cake which calls for a tube pan. It is very reminiscent of my brother-in-law's mother's apple cake but she baked hers in a rectangular pan. It was heavier and if I recall correctly had more apple filling than Joan Nathan's and a cookie dough lattice work at the top. She also had raisins in hers which I do add to the Joan Nathan version.

First off I'd like to make this cake in a square or rectangular pan but I have no idea how to convert the baking time. Also, if anyone has any recipes for this type of apple cake -- his mother was from Poland if that's any help -- I'd really appreciate your sharing it. Thanks!
