Went to a high star hotel the other day to enjoy the piano and other offerings (they have this incredible ball of lights suspended between two palm trees on the ocean cliff!) and my question is:
What do you do when the piano man is playing jazz and Elton, etc. (instead of classic works without words) and someone starts to sing in harmony, etc. and make "pot luck" music with them? Do you complain to them or to the establishment or what? Or, in the alternative, do you encourage them if it sounds good to you?
There was a man there that looked very much like Brian Wilson, but who knows if it really was? In other words, does it matter who it is? or do you prefer a rule of "no one performs except those approved (and payed) by management" place?
IMO, this is along the same lines as talking on the cellphone too loudly or using swear words with gusto girlfriend, etc.
