Looking for commentary/ recs of Mid-western U.S. craft beers

Silverjay | Jul 30, 200811:50 AM     24

Making a trip to Chicago-land soon and I'm interested in some recs on beers from breweries like Goose Island, Two Brothers, Kalamazoo, Founder's, Three Floyds, Dark Horse, and Surly (edit). I"m interested in all types. Anybody have a "best in class" or favorite from one of these places to look out for? Any particular "mid-west character" that one can discern from any of these guys? Really looking forward to trying some beers I've never had before.
