Coming into town Weds evening: Simple ethnic meal around Grand Central

I arrive into midtown around 4 or 5pm. Will hopefully be ready for a bite to eat by around 6. Staying near Grand Central Station. Nothing too fancy or pricey, as we're doing that on Thursday and Friday (Daniel, Le Bernardin, respectively), but just something easy and close by, with a hopefully decent wines by the glass list. I'm willing to explore Queens or the Bronx (we already have a few things planned for Brooklyn over the weekend). Looking for some sort of Asian or Latin food but up to other suggestions. Something near a subway would be great. And also ideally something one can't find as good in L.A.
And if there's a bar nearby that makes a decent martini for afterward, Hallelujah!
