Bob

for a great steak try _A.J. Floyd's_ on Devine street near 5 Points (your son will probably know or can get directions. Its near the University - sort of between USC and the Fort on Devine street.

Floyd's opened last summer and reviews have been good. A good, experienced friend worked as head bartender there and spoke well of the kitchen and supplies: (really good stemware and cuts of aged beef). It specializes in steaks and has a mostly medium wine list.

Other high dollar choices - but also best in town are:

Hampton Street Vineyard (recognized by Wine Spectator)

Ristorante Divino - a complete steal, very fine northern Italian, chef/owner is from Lake Como area Italy -

these 2 have best wine lists around - you might find steak but anything on either menu will be very good and 1/2 the price in Atlanta or Nooo Yawk.

let me know how it goes.

congrats - Karin
