I posted about this last summer, but it's worth mentioning again while the weather is still sort of hot.
Natural Tofu restaurant (on the southern side of Queens Blvd at 40th St) is currently offering their cold noodle soup. It's sweet, sour, spicy, full of fine buckwheat (I think) noodles, pickled radishes, sweet slices of pear (weirdly refreshing), slices of beef, and large chunks of ice.
It comes in a large stainless steel bowl and is such a lovely thing to eat when the weather is hot, or even when it's not that hot.
Other very good things at this restaurant include their fiery soft tofu soups, and grilled whole squid.
