Colatina Exit report (Bradford, VT)

Driving back from Vermont to Boston last night, we stopped in at the Colatina Exit in Bradford (Exit 16 off of I-91...~20 miles north of Lebanon, NH). We had been there once before, a couple a years ago, and had a pretty decent experience. We were very pleased! The place was hopping for a Sunday night, and we were seated quickly. Our waitress was very helpful and efficient. The ingredients were all very fresh and the dishes well executed.

Fresh bread showed up right away, with a nice olive oil/garlic dip, which we devoured. We split a family size salad..nice fresh romaine (no pre-bagged stuff), grape tomatoes and homemade croutons (same bread, I'm assuming). My daughter had the linguini with white clam sauce. We were very pleased to see whole wheat linguine offered, and the dish was great. More of a cream based sauce, rather than the olive oil/white wine I'm used to, but it was very tasty, with fresh, large clam pieces that were nice and tender. My BF and I split a special ravioli made with an arugula/goat cheese sauce w/roasted tomatoes. On our first bite we were convinced that there was bacon in the sauce too.....since we are vegetarians we were a bit concerned and the waitress quickly inquired and returned...NO BACON...just those amazing roasted, smokey tomato pieces (tiny...even looked like bacon). Wow..just awesome! The ravioli were large, plump and tender.

We were too stuffed for dessert, but the tiramisu looked tempting. We will definitely stop in again next time we are in the area!!
