Coffee Bar & Feast Roasters | Redding

Melanie Wong | Aug 26, 201801:18 AM

After enjoying a Gibraltar made with Feast coffee beans at The Stirring, I sought out Feast's own cafe, Coffee Bar.

With more choices of beans, I selected "San Francisco 1900" Costa Rican beans for my Flat White.

The coffee was light bodied with citrusy notes, bright acidity and a long finish. Creamy microfoam of Clover organic milk melded seamlessly with the brew for a wonderfully sensuous, creamy mouthfeel. Unbeknownst to me, Eric Schuler, the owner and master roaster, made my flat white himself.

For breakfast, a whole-grained waffle with fresh blueberries. For later, Kyoto drip cold brew of Colombian beans that was deeper and more robust with vanilla spice, tobacco and floral notes.

Coffee Bar gave out free drip coffee during the fires and welcomed evacuees.

Coffee Bar has changed hands this month. The coffee shop will stay open and expand its offerings. https://www.redding.com/story/news/lo...
