It has been a tough year for BBQ in the Bay Area. Rob's Rib Schack in Sonoma closes and now Calypool's in the SF Marina district has closed - not enough business, especially at lunch. That is a shame, I liked it there.
Mr. Claypool has sold his concept to some restaurant business pro's. They plan to roll out a few places in Southern California based on the style/decor of what was in the Marina storefront, but do not expect any brisket/pulled pork in the Marina for a long, long time.
