I'm new here. I've searched online but haven't found clear information on this. Hopefully this is the right place.
On the advice of The Food Lab/Serious Eats I have purchased a brand new All Clad 3-Quart Tri-Ply Sauté Pan (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...). This is my starting point for upgrading my cookware from mainly non-stick cheap pieces to higher quality.
Unfortunately when I brought it home I realized that the largest burner on my glass cooktop (12cm) is smaller than the base of the pan (13.5cm).
I know it will cook fine and I can always move things around for even heating but given I spent $200 on this pan, am I losing the benefits of the high quality pan by not having a matching burner?
I bought it while travelling in the US last week (I live in Ireland) so returning isn't an option but I'm sure I could sell it for a decent price.
