City Hall Wedding--Then Someplace Fancy. Where?

Denis | Nov 10, 2004 09:23 AM

My closest friend is getting married at City Hall on Friday, and wants to follow that experience with something beautiful and special. He suggested a late lunch somewhere remarkable, and that's a definite possibility, but we might be taking them to dinner later, so a drink or some champagne somewhere really nice or, I don't know, tea would also be possibilities. Going for caviar somewhere occurred to me as an option, but he's not such caviar fan. Suggestions need not be near City Hall at all--anywhere in Manhattan would be great.

I know this isn't *strictly* a chowhoundish question, since it's significantly about the environment, not just the food, but high quality of whatever we would be consuming is very important to us. Plus I know the contributors to this board are likely to have good ideas.

Any assistance will, as always, be greatly appreciated.
