Churros - homemade/freshly made?

ers258 | Apr 7, 200604:39 PM

I went to a place in Commerce (Lucero's Bakery on Gage, just west of Garfield) where a small shop sold Mexican breads and churros. The churros are quite good (meaning, that they are worth a stop/slight detour, but not a drive across LA or special quest... though they have no relation to churros found at amusement parks, county fairs or movie theaters.) But I wonder if anyone knows of an excellent churro place. Are there any Spanish cafes that make churros con chocolate? Or special bakeries in East LA?
