Church Ave "Indian": Detour from S Slope

I live near the 7th Ave F train stop. Although I am fond of certain roasted dishes at India House, sometimes I want more variety. While Swad and Bukhara on Coney Island Ave are very good, they require a car or a bus ride plus considerable walking.

Afew years ago, coming back from Pergamet, I stumbled on Malancha on Church Ave just west of McDonald (ie, right by the Church Ave F stop). It was quite good--perhaps not quite up to the Coney Island Ave places, but much more convenient. I used them for takeout. Sietsma reviewed them in the Voice Chow Choices. But this summer they closed.

Having noticed this, I scanned the neighborhood and spotted Little Banglesdesh, on McDonald just south of Church. They are friendly, their English is workable, the food is quite tasty. I get takeout: 2 entrees + rice+ 2 pieces of Rasmali dessert-- a dinner for 2 for $10.

If you live in the S Slope or Windsor Terrace, you just go afew stations past your stop, exit the train, walk maybe half a block, make your purchases and repeat the process in reverse. For perhaps half an hour of your time you get Bangledeshi food made for Bangledeshi, cheap.

There is another, apparently similar, restaurant on the block whose name I don't recall; but I haven't tried it.
