I posted this in Not About Food, but thought I'd also try here in view of some of the responses. In brief, adult daughter spending year in Worcester (UK). Family planning to fly over to spend Christmas with her. Should we stay in Worcester (is there chowhoundish food?) and if so where (both the food and the lodging-- she'll be in small flat, so that's out). Should we go to Ludlow as someone suggested as perhaps having best chowhoundish food outside London? Is everything going to be closed from the 19th to the 29th? In which case, should we just stay in London and have her join us there? We've been to UK numerous times but before we'd discovered chowhound. Am eager to settle on a place that would allow for different food adventures, but am worried about everything being closed down, Advice?
