"A" choy

Yimster | Aug 7, 200312:03 AM

Today, after a Doctor appointment in San Francisco we went to Chinatown to shop for dinner.

Found "A" Choy at the store at the corner of Pacific and Grant (use to be May Wah but did not look at the name today). They had four boxes of the "A" choy that we could pick thur. Unlike the bundles and plastic bags at 99Ranch and Marina Markets. The price was 59 cents a pound. We selected two plastic bags for less one dollar. It took all of two bags to cook on dish full. I have a friend checking with UC Davis to get the proper English name for the vegetable. Now that we know what is it and that it has a interest taste it will be a part of our diet.
