"CHOWHOUND REPORTS": "Massive Potato Chip Buying Guide" and "Bay Area Report"

The Chowhound Team | Jul 11, 200202:18 PM

Ladies and Hounds,

Please take a look at the latest fashionable product line in our ChowMarket: Chowhound Reports. They're long, funny, hyper-useful, savvy, and awesome.

The first two are:

1. MASSIVE POTATO CHIP BUYING GUIDE
(Jim Leff got samples of hundreds of obscure regional brands flown in and rigorously blind-tasted them, providing evocative notes and ordering info, plus lots of engrossing chippy writing).

2. BAY AREA REPORT
(Leff's account of chowhounding in the Bay Area, plus a trip to what Gourmet Magazine calls "The Best Thai Restaurant in America", in Las Vegas. The perspecitve on all is that of a visitor--including logistics and travel tips--but the info is of great use to Bay Area residents as well. As a bonus, Nathan Landau's "East Bay Chowhounding Via Mass Transit" report is also included).
