In reading a restaurant review in the Manhattan board, someone refered to dining companions who order the same entree' as a "chowhound faux pas." I think I agree, but wanted to get the other folks input.
My wife and I always try to order different dishes. However, sometimes we are both overwhelming drawn to the same entree. Or sometimes we are both in the mood for the same thing that we know is good at a particular restaurant.
But, I aways feel guilty when we order the same thing. I feel like we should be trying harder to be more diverse. Either way it can be awkward.
