Most chowhound events revolve, rightly, around food. Some focus on wine. But Im not sure that a Chicago chowhound event has ever been built around liquor. So to that endand because I really like bourbonIm organizing a bourbon tasting.
Ive spoken with the owner of Delilahs on Lincoln, who is an avid bourbon drinker and aficionado, and Im shooting for Wednesday, February 11th. Time will probably be early evening, maybe 6-8 (though of course you neednt stop tasting, drinking, or doing anything else at 8). A list of what well taste (probably about a dozen) and cost are still being worked out, and I should have a little bit better idea next week, though in order to firm up all these details, I need to know who would like to come. Please email me directly if youre interested, and henceforth, all logistical planning will take place off the board. Of course, any other discussion of drinking bourbon in Chicago can take place right here.
