Chowhound Event: Bourbon Tasting

Aaron D | Jan 30, 2004 12:48 PM

Most chowhound events revolve, rightly, around food. Some focus on wine. But I’m not sure that a Chicago chowhound event has ever been built around liquor. So to that end—and because I really like bourbon—I’m organizing a bourbon tasting.

I’ve spoken with the owner of Delilah’s on Lincoln, who is an avid bourbon drinker and aficionado, and I’m shooting for Wednesday, February 11th. Time will probably be early evening, maybe 6-8 (though of course you needn’t stop tasting, drinking, or doing anything else at 8). A list of what we’ll taste (probably about a dozen) and cost are still being worked out, and I should have a little bit better idea next week, though in order to firm up all these details, I need to know who would like to come. Please email me directly if you’re interested, and henceforth, all logistical planning will take place off the board. Of course, any other discussion of drinking bourbon in Chicago can take place right here.

Cheers,

Aaron
