Chowhound challenge: Cruise stops in Monte Carlo, Florence, Barcelona etc.

I will be on an upcoming cruise and I was hoping for some suggestions for the following cities. Now this will be a bit of a challenge because I realize that the boat will only stop for a day and the only food I'll get to sample will have to be for lunch or a snack of some sort. Some cities I'll be on a tour and be taken care but others I'm of course exploring on my own (Monte Carlo, Barcelona).

Here's a listing of all the cities, and a few suggestions as to the food I'm kind of looking forward to. Monte Carlo (Sunday); Florence, (Monday); Barcelona, looking for some tapas, or paella (Wednesday); Carthage/Tunis (Friday); Valleta (Saturday), Malta; Palermo, Italy (Sunday); and Naples (Monday). I'm definitely looking for some pizza in of the Italian cities so where's the best for that? Naples?

I'm hoping some posters can have fun with this little challenge. I've looked at a lot of the other posts but most of the places seem to be for dinner, which normally begins at 9, which is when I must be back on the boat. If possible give directions, hours, and most importantly a bit on how much. I don't have unlimited spending so the cost is important. Perhaps some suggestions on local artisan foods I can take back with me to the boat/home would also be most appreciated.

I think I'll be staying a couple of days in Rome at the end of the cruise, so any suggestions for there would be appreciated. Except that now dinner would be applicable, the same cost restrictions mostly apply. I'm not looking to spend much more than 20 euros per person, unless the experience is likely to be phenomenal.

Thank you in advance to all who respond.
