Chow on the Cheap for visiting SF hounds...Miracle Mile/Downtown

Hi,

My partner and I are coming to LA for a week of visiting, chowing, and, sigh, some business too.

We'll be staying in Miracle Mile-ish (Cochran/Wilshire) and bicycle-commuting to the Convention Center for a couple days too.

I'm in the midst of scrolling through your bountiful board for places to go, and would really love some recommendations from y'all for the Miracle Mile area and Downtown, primarily, although we could be tempted to go other places too!

Here are things we like:

Vietnamese (banh mi, pho, bun)

Fish tacos! (they don't have them up here!)
Tortas
and, in general, good, small, non-chain taquerias

Good diner(esque) joint for breakfast, fried things, etc

Nice jewish deli

Decent coffee/cafe

Korean -- we'll be passing through K-town on a regular basis, any special places to note? We love NOODLES and bbq (and good daikon kimchi) but are kinda newbies to Korean other than that.

also...thai? burmese?

other than that...um...i dunno, we're kind of weirdos, so if there are any cheap or idiosyncratic places worth visiting, I am grateful in advance for your advice. Pink's is already on the list. We are mapped to the gills so intersections will suffice...

thanks very much

Patrick
