Last night I finally tried Gonzo on West 13th Street, whose specialty is grilled pizza. The pizza was so-so, but I loved their Tuscan chicken liver crostini appetizer. (It's essentially chopped liver spread on baguettes drizzled in olive oil.)
Which brings to mind: Where else can I find oustanding chopped liver in Manhattan? Until now I have been getting it almost exclusively from Second Avenue Deli, but I do like variety, and last night's dinner reminded me that Abe Lebewohl's eatery, however fabulous, is not the only show in town.
