Chocolate-hound help - Laredo area

madrexoco | May 22, 201207:32 AM     2

Any CHers in the Laredo area available to lend an artisan bean-to-bar chocolate company a hand in exchange for some chowable, limited edition dark chocolate bars?

Here's the scoop: our trial shipment of primo, coop-grown cacao from Chiapas won't get released from the border in Laredo until we get it re-labeled. Suffice to say it's been a learning process. What we need now is someone to roughly sew cloth labels onto five 60kg sacks of cacao at our customs broker's warehouse so that FDA and customs will release the shipment.

This cacao is slated to become one of the only bean-to-bar chocolates made exclusively with aromatic Mexican cacao from the Xoconusco growing region. If you can lend us a hand or put us in touch with someone in Laredo who can, we'll make sure you get to taste the fruits of your labor!
