Chocolate Bar and Mary's Off Jane - my thoughts and your recs?

I finally checked out the Chocolate Bar today. Extremely pricy, but I had one of the most delicious chocolates I've had in a while. Their chocolate biscotti caramel cluster ($3.75 or something like that for a small piece) was amazing. Perfect blend of chocolate, caramel, and cookie bits. It's an expensive treat, but worth it on a special occasion.

I also stopped by Mary's Off Jane and had one of their muffins that I had heard so much about. I had a banana nut muffin, very delicious. I'd also strongly recommend the mojito cookies, the chocolate chubbies, and ginger scones at Mary's which I've ordered in the past. I was not such a big fan of the pastelinos (sp?) or their coconut almond scones which I tried before.

I'm curious to hear other people's recommendations (or what to avoid) at either of these places. It's great that they are so close to each other (on 8th Ave, by Jane St.)
