The [Chinese] Wedding Banquet

attended a traditional Chinese wedding + a non-traditional rehearsal dinner this past weekend and the banquet food was pretty damn decent. Both restaurants are way better than 888 Seafood, NBC Seafood, Ocean Star, and Sam Woo (Focus Plaza). I haven't tried MPV, so I don't have direct comparisons there.

1 Mandarin Restaurant in Fountain Valley: (rehearsal)
can't remember the menu, but it had really great quality food.

2 Prince Seafood in Cerritos: (it's a fave for weddings)
shark fin soup
asparagus with chicken
abalone and bok choy
duck (served with hoisin)
garlic/green onion sauteed lobster
steamed whole fish
noodles

And yes, for those who've seen the movie by Ang Lee, it was an over-the-top kick ass party.
