Where to Get Chinese Mooncakes In Brooklyn?

Jim Leff | Feb 5, 2005 03:49 PM

Friends in Park Slope want to do some semblance of a Chinese New Year celebration at home. They don't cook Chinese, so it's got to be take-out. My suggestion was that rather than get into roosterness, that they just get some good regular old Chinese (or Chinese/American) take-out, and also some moon cakes (which, after all, are the most new yearsy you can get).

As for where to get the takeout, I guess they need to hit Sunset Park Chinatown, and I'll search the boards for curent faves (I'm not a fan of that Chinatown, so I don't keep up, myself).

But where, exactly, do I send them for the mooncakes? Any ideas? Would prefer in Sunset Park, but Park Slope area would be even better (fat chance, though, I guess).
