I have been hit by a sudden craving for one of my favorite Chinese restaurant dishes, beef and tomato on top of rice. It's a simple dish, with thin slices of beef, chunks of tomato (in or out of season, it doesn't matter), slices of ginger, all in a mysteriously delicious sauce. What goes into that sauce I have no idea--probably soy sauce, juices from the tomatoes, maybe oyster sauce, who knows?
Can anyone help please? I've found one or two recipes on the Internet, but I was really hoping to hear from someone with a tried and true recipe for this. Thanks!
