Someone on the Manhattan board was reminiscing about the old Exterminator Chili, and it got me to thinking about how much I like chili, but how hard it is to find good chili. I'm talking meaty, beany, spicy chili that's not too soupy or greasy. Served with all the fixins: shredded Colby cheese, a dollop of sour cream, a sprinkling of scallions, and maybe some cornbread on the side.
I had high hopes for the chili at Blue Moon cafe in Chelsea, but it was just okay. Does anyone know of a better place to get a big bowl of chili?
