I'm guessing more tex mex than any "real" mexican restaurant.
I haven't found one at any of our usual haunts. I'm American enough that I like it battered and cheesy, but I like latin food enough I want it to be spicy, with flavorful and authentic rice/beans.
I think I'm in withdrawal...On a recent vacation in South Florida I had an amazing relleno with a chipotle raspberry sauce that was horrifingly hot in the best possible way. We went a second time and they weren't as hot (but still awesome) and the guy at the table next to me was sweating eating the same thing.
Just shows me they are using fresh produce and something like peppers will vary.
