I took a frozen chicken out this morning and defrosted it in cold water. I meant to only leave it for an hour in the water, but I ended up leaving it there for 4 hours.
It's still cold to the touch, the outside is nicely defrosted while the inside of the chicken still has chunks of ice throughout it.
Is it fine to eat? :/ This is supposed to be for a party later tonight oy vey!
It is about 56 degrees F outside..I'm assuming 10-15 degrees warmer inside (no heater on) so I'm hoping the relatively cool temps saved the chicken?
