Having failed to locate an eastern style Haddock Fish Fry in STL (see thread below), Here is plan B:
Are there any "Chicken BBQ's" like I got in Western NY:
Whole or half chicken
Basted or rubbed
cooked over charcoal until the spices/baste is nearly black
I tried to stop at some VFW and K of C "Chicken Dinners" here in the metro east, but they were all fried chicken.
