Last year you all gave such great recommendations that we are coming back for more! My husband and I will be in NYC for 4 days in April and while we have a running list from last years trip, we want to make sure we aren't missing anything new or if something has gone downhill. We want a mix of our old favorites over our past visits along with some new. We will be staying two nights in Tribeca/Soho and two nights in Midtown East at The Omni. Below are some of the places on our list at this time. Critiques are welcome and new suggestions as well. As far as type of food, we love all cuisines so are open there. Price-nothing too over the top. No more than $100 pp not including alcohol. from casual to semi-fine dining but preferably no jacket required.
Royce Chocolate- I'm in love with the Nama
Maybe Al Bustan for Lebanese- we did Naya last year and great meal but didn't love the vibe inside
Ipuddo or Totto- which do you recommend?
Lanterns Keep for cocktails
Sofia Wine Bar for wine
Maybe Empanadas mama for some late night snacking and drinks.
La Bateau Ivre-this is always a standby for me given they are pretty much always open
Cask bar and Kitchen for cocktails
Ess-a-bagels:this is always on my list
Aquagrill and Mermaid for oysters
Blue Ribbon Izakaya
Birdbath- pretzel croissant
Dominque Ansel- for the DKA
Russ and daughters- take out not cafe
Black seed bagels
Clinton St Baking
Our list is ever growing so let me know what you would add or subtract. We use this as more of a guide than an actual incinerate besides a few places we will need to reserve. And we are not opposed to heading to other neighborhoods as well. We are probably not interested in doing any Steakhouses since we have an abundance of good ones here in Chicago and have steak often. Otherwise we are open to anything. Thanks in advance for your help!
