My husband and I will be in Chicago the latter part of next week for 4 nights with our three teenagers ages 19, 16, and 13. This will be a first trip to Chicago for all of us. We would love recommendations for places to eat with the family. We like all kinds of food and only have one picky eater. She, however, knows how to order something that she will like, and has learned to go along with the more adventurous diners in the family.
We will be celebrating our 26th anniversary while there, so at least one evening we would like something nicer/dressier. Not at the price level of Charlie Trotter's, but just under that would be fine, something good and unique.
We are seeing Wicked on Thursday evening so a recommendation for a before theatre meal would be appreciated.
Mostly looking for moderately to inexpensively priced meals at fun Chicago-esque places that would appeal to teens and their parents.
Of course, we will want pizza - It appears that there is no one place that everyone agrees on. I keep seeing Pizzeria Uno, Giordanos and Lou Malnatti's. Yes on those?
Oh, we will be staying just north of the loop, and won't have a car so will need to rely on public transportation or walking.
Thank you, Kay
