Was in chi. last week for thanksgiving...great city. Ate at a handful of places that I had previously chosen based on chowhound reviews. First up was honey one barbeque, totally awesome ribtips, a new favorite. Don't get the cheese fries to go, surprise surprise. Ate pizza at Pequod's (not based on reviews,... my sister had to have her way), should have went somewhere else. The thing is that while the pizza was baked to perfection..the ingredients were obviously not so good...especially the tomatoes. If Chicago style involves sliced tomatoes with sauce...doesn't the quality of pizza vary tremendously from winter to summer? (Because of the horrible tomatoes) Anyways, I'll try someplace else next time. Delivery from Sticky Rice, second time I have ate here and it was excellent once again. I love the variety of the menu and its consistency. On a side note, we did our grocery shopping at four different places (Trader Joe's, Dominic's, Whole Foods, and Fox-Obel) to acquire all the things we needed. Man...sure could have used a Wegmans.
