My take on a few Chicago Restaurants

Just arrived back from your great city after attending the Restaurant Show. Wishbone is a must for breakfast. Cruncy French Toast, fresh squeezed juices, cool big open space and friendly service.

Second time at Rosebud Steakhouse. I know it doesn't get the press that the other more famous steakhouses get, but I prefer it over Gibson's and Chi. Chop House. Not only good solid food but love the old school waiters and small intimate room (for a steakhouse).

Went to Sweet and Savories on mon. night. WOW! had the 8 or (9?) course tasting menu (only on mon. i think). For $50 per person this is the best deal on the planet. To attempt to describe the food would be a disservice just make a reservation. Thanks to all the hounds who recommended this jewel.

Lou Mitchell's for breakfast is also another a must-especially for out of towners.

Finally had another great meal at Osteria del Stato. Would highly recommend for anyone who loves Italian food. Get the &28 wine tasting flight and chef's choice menu they'll keep sending you different courses of food. Very similar to Il Mulino in NYC but at about 1/3 price.
