I'll be staying in West Chester with my in-laws for the weekend of Chester County Day and was hoping for some recommendations. There will be two dinners involved, one of which should be somewhat upscale. Also, I've heard that things get packed this weekend, so a place that doesn't deal well with crowds would be out.
My in-laws seem to prefer creative takes on traditional American and continental cooking (Rack of lamb with a nice sauce, plank baked salmon, etc.) and disliked the spiciness of Indian food. For decor, older places with elegant country-style decor seems to be their thing.
From past positive posts on this board, I'm leaning towards going to Avalon for one of the dinners, but would love for other recommendations.
