Chef Seng Opens Third Location in Tysons Galleria

Steve | Dec 9, 201808:30 PM     9

Seng Luangrath has opened Sen Khao, a limited menu counter service spot where MIke Isabella had one of his eateries in the Galleria. There wasn't a lot of planning for this; it was all conceived in just a few weeks.

Chef Seng's cooking is so assured here, it is pretty much a phenomenon that you can get food this good this quickly and informally. This was my first time having these chicken wings, heavily slathered in a fermented chili sauce that brought on the heat and the funk. Potent, wildly delicious stuff. The watercress here is a an airy and crispy wonder with cashews and fried shallots sprinkled throughout. Beef jerky is surprisingly succulent. Khao piak sen is a spicy version of her chicken noodle soup, with lots of cilantro and udon noodles.

Start off with the chicken wings and the watercress, and you will have a wonderful meal. Best for sharing.
