would it be helpful if chowhounds knew when a certain chef was leaving or coming on board to certain venue? would it be helpful if we knew something about new chefs coming into our market? you know, where they trained, what they've been cooking, and if any awards have been earned.
the risk is shameless advertising of one's new, or not so new chef and self promoting your own restuarant. still, when josie le balch left the beach house inn on PCH in santa monica to open her own spot, the place wasn't worth going to within a month.
