Fellow hounds. I'm a freelance food writer in Raleigh, N.C. and have been asked to do a story on the Charlotte food scene - what's the general vibe. Is it all about the money? The bankers? Besides Dean & Deluca, are there any great food emporiums? The don't-miss restaurants? There seems to be a wider ethnic presence than here in Raleigh. Will the new Johnson & Wales change the scene? I'm planning a research eating trip soon, any thoughts appreciated!
