charging for mozzerella?

No joke: a popular pizza place on Flatbush near Park Slope charged us one dollar when someone asked for mozzerellah cheese for their pizza. It came in a little dish, and seemed fine for its quality, but nothing special and certainly nothing generous. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? One of my dining mates wated to ask how much for the salt and pepper but restrained himself.
