Stopped at O Chame for lunch today with a colleague. Since it was a working lunch I didn't order much, but I must spread the word about the wonderful meaty grilled shiitake mushrooms with lotus root that I enjoyed. The texture of these mushrooms was amazing - crispy, dense, and chewy all at once. The lotus root was a good counterpoint, napped in a mirin-accented sauce.
Washed it all down with a toasty cup of Hojicha and some comforting miso soup. Just the ticket for this drizzly weather, and it was good to revisit the elegant calm of the O Chame space.
