The caviar market is bad, bad my friends. The supply is dreadful, the dollar stinks, and the wild species are in crises.

We will not be feasting on 1/2 pd. from Petrossian as we have in the past. Humph. I imagine Russkar feasting on the same and it doesn't not make me happy.

We have been tracking the market for weeks to get our dollars (which feel more like '90s rubles), our suppliers, and moral objections in order.

HOWEVER, after sampling several sources around town Greenblatts on Sunset was determined has quite tasty ossetra at a rock bottom price for the quality. ROCK BOTTOM FOR THE PRICE. About $65/oz. for ossetra. We had a very good batch about two months ago, followed up a distinctly substandard batch. Taste it after you buy it. Beluga, we don't discuss, because if you eating it you are just a jerk.
