Caveman Kitchen / Kent

Growing up in Kent, for years we'd stop at Caveman especially in the summer to eat BBQ sandwiches at the outside picnic benches. They always had huge stacks of wood and perpetual smoke coming from the back of the building. Great BBQ sandwiches. My uncles would go on fishing trips at Westport and they'd bring home the big fish which would always go to Caveman to get smoked. Maybe the early overindulgence in salmon is why I never order it anymore. I'm not sure if they still do the fish smoking but I'm sure their sandwiches remain fantastic. As the heatwave comes into Seattle this week I'm planning a visit. Found a link with a few reviews. Anybody else know about Caveman? Does it stack up well among the areas best, or do I just like it so much because it's all I ever knew for so many years?

I always remember in high school the little mini-store across the parking lot was well-known for selling beer without checking IDs so we'd load up on beer and sandwiches before heading out to the Valley Drive In. Those were good times :)
