cattlemens vs del frisco + itinerary review

two4travel | Oct 24, 201405:05 AM     12

We are arriving this Sunday Oct. 26. Leaving Tuesday at 8 pm. Staying in lower Greenville. Tentative plan is.

Arrive at 10am. Brunch at Oddfellows or lunch at Pepe & Mitos. Maybe pecan lodge for food to take back to where we are staying but since check in is not until 3pm, we may need to put that off untill Monday.

Head to Fort worth. First is Justin Boot Outlet. Then sightseeing/pictures at the stockyards to time with watching the cattle drive at 4pm. Afterwards we wanted to eat a good steak at a place with Texas atomsphere so Lonesome Dove seemed like the perfect choice, but it is not open on Sunday. Our next choices are Cattlemens or Del Frisco but the reviews seem mixed for cattlemens so we are hoping for suggestions. After dinner we are going to have drinks and dessert at H3 ranch ( whiskey ice cream with brownie). Then Billy Bob's for another drink and to see some country dancing.

Monday: Unsure about breakfast, was thinking if we didn't go.to Oddfellows the day before then we would eat breakfast there. I'm more of the coffe and pastry type while DH likes bacon and eggs. Then we are going to the sixth floor museum. Lunch at Cane Rosso. Possibly, if not to late, pick up some take out from Pecan Lodge to snack on later (we have a kitchen where we are lodging). Then Reunion Tower. We have tickets to the Dallas Football Game Monday night. I heard about a place in Arlington that has good wings, Sakhuu, considering ordering wings and eating them before the game. We are not sure where we are parking yet. Again, we are open to a better suggestions for dinner prior to the game.

Tuesday. Breadwinners for Breakfast. Snacks for the road and to take home.... Dude sweet Chocolate and Village baking Then to South Fork Ranch. Not sure what time we need to be at the airport. Our flight leaves Love Field at 8pm.

I Want to fit in La Duni, Twisted root and Society bakery (all close to where we are staying). Plus... emporium pie and Jimmys food store for cannoli. which I don't think is close to where we are staying but my passion is pastries and coffee so I would love to fit these places in.

Originally I planned on Fort Worth Monday because I thought it would be more conveniently located with going to Arlington for the game but I don't think we could get dinner in. Unfortunately the one place I really wanted to to was Nonna Tata but it is closed Sunday and Monday. I had considered going to south fork Sunday and fort worth Tuesday just to get Nonna's in but it looks like we would still not get dinner at a steak place in. So....maybe next time I will get to Nonna's.

We are open to any suggestions! Thank you in advance for looking over our itinerary.
