Wednesday night I attended a Burgundy tasting with light appetizers prepared by Lombardos Fine Foods (415.596.0331). The offerings included lamb crostini topped with a spicy harissa-like sauce, tuna tartare on crisps, roasted portabello mushrooms on warm goat cheese toast, a selection of artisan cheeses and fresh fruit, and ginger-almond biscotti. The mushroom was my favorite with the melt-y cheese, mostly because it complemented the wines best, but all were good. The staff were friendly and informative.
