Went to Gotham for their soft opening last night. Beautiful place! We were very hungry after a couple of craft drinks at Gotham, so we walked next door to Catch.
WHAT A MEAL!
Starters of sea bass sashimi, mussels and cockles, angry lobster and shrimp and amazing Sweet Jesus Oysters were a great way to start.
Dinner: Sweet and Tangy and Crispy Chilean Sea Bass was wonderful. A whole fresh dorade was perfectly cooked, simply marinated and was delicious. To me the star of the show was an excellent Ribeye steak, which featured shrimp and lobster on the plate! It was wonderful. Also, the marinates presented with the steak were obviously homemade and terrific.
Needless to say, we were a bit full, but had to try dessert. Our waitress suggested their "French Toast". All I can say is "save room"!
Service by Jacqui was fantastic and professional. All I know is that we went out for drinks, and then dinner and weren't expecting much, and were blown away by the food at Catch. A new restaurant star was born. Can't wait to go back.
