Typically wading through Coral Gables can be a bit of a nightmare during lunchtime. Great Restaurants all around, but most not on the budget friendly side of the equation. On the flipside you have all sorts of casual dining options that leave you with $10 less for a thoroughly unsatisfying meal when you're done. Cost of food has definitely gone up, making quick dining meals pretty much not worth it (to me) anymore. There are some exceptions. I make it to Chocolate Fashion on a rather regular basis. They have great stuff there, and the lunch menu is quite good and flexible. Anybody wanting lighter fare can turn to the salads, sandwiches or soups, though I usually opt for one of the three daily specials, which are sometimes phenomenal. I think their prices may have gone up recently a dollar or two but to me its still worth it. I was wondering what places others recommended for their daytime meals, that made you feel well-fed without sacrificing your tastebuds or your wallets.
