Carribean meat patties in MPLS

JAMidway | May 12, 200605:11 PM

Last week, I noticed a little coffee shop attached to a warehouse on the south side of Hennepin and about a half mile west of 280. In addition to advertising coffee, there was a sign for Carribean food. I stopped in but did not think to look at the name of the place. In any case, the owner is from Trinidad and makes his own beef, chicken and vegetable (maybe, I can't remember what the third variety was) patties. Even the shell looked like it was made from scratch which is not true of some of the other places in town that you can get patties. I ran off with one of the beef ones and one of the chicken ones and both were very good. There were some other food options-some American, some Carribean- there as well. There was also a huge selection of bottled hot sauces for sale. Neat place but not much room to sit down if that's what you were looking for.
