I moved my sister out to Spring Valley last week and we were hungry so we went out for lunch. I managed to pull her away from the idea of in n out, the carnitas lover she is.
The restaurant reminds me of a old time mexican coffee shop and diner with pig decorations. Its sweet and endearing.
We got some bohemias and the carnitas plate, wuacamole, and we couldnt stop smiling we were so happy. I liked the viet-reminescent garnish plate of cilantro, onion, limes, and fresh tomatoes. The salsa was a little weak but servicable.
The portion of maciza we recieved showed that they know what they are doing. It possessed the proper braised and crisp portions of meat that are the essence of carnitas.
I'll try to load up some pictures tommorow.
